From running a PHC unit on the shores of Lake Victoria to directing a global project on measuring the performance of community health workers, and expanding the remit of PHC providers to manage hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and postpartum hemorrhage, Charlotte is well placed to advise on supporting services at PHC level, bringing services nearer to where women and their families live. Examples include:

- Measuring prevalence of disrespect and abuse during childbirth in Kenya - The Heshima Project.
- Expanding access for the prevention, early detection, and treatment of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia.
