Health Systems Research and Public Health
With a focus on using implementation research to test in a real life setting what works and does not work within health systems for any public health or systems issues. Charlotte has led technical research for numerous projects including:
- Improving maternal newborn health outcomes for vulnerable women and newborns in informal settlements in Nairobi Kenya.
- Advancing postpartum hemorrhage care in ​Malawi and Madagascar focusing on provider behaviour change.
- Scaling up possible serious bacterial infection of WHO guidelines in Kenya: building confidence in management of sepsis in young infants.
- Expanding access for the prevention, early detection, and treatment of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia and strengthen global partnerships. 12 studies in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan.
- Multi country evaluation of voucher interventions applied to RH service delivery platforms Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda.
- Assessing the benefits and costs of integrating HIV/SRH services in Kenya and Eswatini.
